We the Uganda defence force operated the MRAP vehicle for the last 10 years. its now a new item for your country Updf has the Nyala RG31 similar to the ones used by the US miltary in the gulf. The tables have turned UPDF is now the leader in the region.
Mr Crane Ug operates out dated springbucks apc and not Nyalas. Your APC are Ex SA

FYI the US army and other superpowers also didn’t, have such vehicles when they went into the GULF war and Afgani.. That doesn’t make UG better then them.

Ndugu zangu wakenya, Eritrea a country surviving on Aid has bought the Su30. the so called east African superpower Kenya still dwells on pre historic fighters F-5 and a couple of dummy Hawks. In the coming Kenyan election be rest assured that if kenyans kill each other again UPDF backed by several Su30 will come to pacify your country. Long live the crane.

You really miss the point my dear friend. The fact that poor Eritrea and Uganda can afford such state of the art weaponry should be enough reason to inform you that the same cannot be beyond reach of mighty Kenya. We simply do not have any serious threats at the moment to warrant the misuse of tax payers money buying items that are not of our immediate use. What we have at the moment is adequate for our current use. What is more if we were to engage in a vicious arms race in the region, i doubt whether poor Uganda nor Eritrea will come anywhere near. The real players will be the Sudan and Ethiopia. Don't be deluded by the expected oil boom. You are still a long way from the profits. After all it is not even out of the ground yet. Besides you will still export the commodity through our ports hence pay taxes to us.
Kenyan recent purchase of second hand F-5s is only a stop gap measure, more modern fighter jets are on the way, just watch.

The problem with Mr crane is that he thinks that wars is all about “My thing is bigger then your thing” its not so Crane it involve logistics planning and the training. Have you heard of the saying “an army marches on its stomach”. Those UPDF militia will go hungry beyond Kisumu as you don,t have the logistics for supporting them after a crossover to Kenya. I can also assure you tukizi kwenda na Ug those Su30 will not get a chance to be airborne.
Secondly our GSU squadrons are adequate to contain most armies in the region. Our GSU special squadrons now operate on the latest M16 rifles similar to the ones used by the US marines

Actually, Eritrea's version of the Sukhoi is the SU-27 similar to Ethiopia's, Mr Flying Crane is just misleading us here. This bird has been in Eritrea's inventory for some time now hence it is not news. The newer version i.e the SU-30MK2 is the one that Uganda is set to receive by trading oil. Algeria too will receive several copies of a different model of SU-30.

Hey look here Mr Flying Crane. Where in my post do you find denial? I have merely presented facts as they are. Does that amount to any denial? I' am afraid i could be dealing with a non professional here. My apologies though if i' am wrong.
FACT:(1) Uganda's supposed SU-30MK2s are not yet in the inventory same as TZ's MiG 29s, (2) Kenya is similarly shopping for newer birds.
Even if TZ and UG were now armed with 4th generation fighter jets how does that affect Kenya adversely? We are not yet in a state of war.

The kenya tigers were bought for tactical reasons. The main aim was to increase the flying hours for our pilots. They were in no means meant to be used as an aggressor fighter although they can if a need be.
These fighters were meant for tactical training more then aggression combat. Some of them are old but in the hands of experience pilots they can be used to simulate Dog fighters, Air attacks to other existing tigers.
I fail to understand why people still condemn them and it was just 6 month ago that they were see flying during the Madaraka day celebrations.
During the 27 Aug events no fixed wing aircrafts Buffalo, Dash and the F-5 flew due to bad weather. This was not a cover up for the incompetence of the F-5 as many people are think.
So let get it straight the objective of the Jordanian fighter was mainly for simulation and pilot handling purposes
