Air Superiority Stealth Fighter Jets

i was looking through 5th gen fighter jets esp f22& f23 and through my understanding and comments from test pilots the f23 was more advenced than f22 hence ma calculation is that the americans made a wrong choice and going by service the northrop gruman jets are  used for a long tym eg f5,nighthawk,b2 spirit,a2 and also drones which are their invention.also their tech is unique.Risasi plz offer some insight.
also do u think there are the black aurora projects

Lockheed is the blue eyed boy in Washington at this decade, Grumman's reign is over. The black widow was way better in my limited knowledge but as always, someone has to eat.

yea thats true and i think the americans can see the mistake they made with the so many f22 problems and the costly f35

the f-22 vs f23 you will never know what actually transpired but I will say the f-22 looks more sexy  ... anyway "they" say the f-23 wasn,t as stealth as should be. it had a lot of radar clutter what I got to understand something more like the Russian Sukhoi PAK FA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_PAK_FA

black aurora projects definitely yes. that why the gov,t was called serikali "Seri kali"   the sighting of UFO "alien spaceship" vertical lifting and moving at high speed can,t detected  by radar"  back in the 70's  has been confirm as the F-117 and skunk projects http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_Works  so I don,t think they are going to stop any day sooner

The Chinese have apparently made an outright clone of the AH-64, or maybe this was just a stunt. Why did they parade their clone through the streets in broad daylight. The setting of the reveal doesn't add up.

Its a clone. That photo has been out for two year at least.

Further to the chopper, someone on another forum commented on the "wrong" looking tail rotor of the Chinese model. The Apache has an "X" the Chinese model has a "+".

I came across this old(taken around 2009) image of a KDF F5 on an aviation forum, and someone had identified the dart and I was wondering if anyone know of what and how its is used? And why also a AAM?

It is a towed target used to train fighter pilots in aerial gunnery. The pilot drops it like an ordinary bomb but it remains tethered to the aircraft by means of a cable/ Any moves the mother makes the target follows so it can be used to simulate maneuvering warplanes. The AAM is for your own protection boss, hujui kitaumana saa ngapi.

Apparently, in March 2013 a U.S. MQ-1 drone came close to being intercepted by an Iranian F-4 Phantom combat plane, but the Iranian aircraft stopped short after a warning by an American pilot. According to the report in The Aviationist the US  Airforce Chief, Gen Mark Welsh, confirmed and described how F-22s scared off Iranian jets from a US drone flying near Iran.  The stunt described below, if indeed it happened as they say, is interesting:

“He [the Raptor pilot] flew under their aircraft [the F-4s] to check out their weapons load without them knowing that he was there, and then pulled up on their left wing and then called them and said ‘you really ought to go home,’”  Gen Welsh said.
According to The Aviationist, the Iranians came within 16 miles of the drone.

The Brits have been at it. Apparently they tested Taranis Drone over Womera in the Australia Outback. Womera is also the place where the Brits tested atomic bombs many many decades ago and consequences are still felt today in that area.

About the Taranis Drone:

That said, defence of European skies is generaly coordinated by NATO. That is the reason why Italians escorted the plane into Switzerland and the Swiss had no reason to scramble.

Fighter aircraft are guzzlers when it comes to fuel. That said, it's shameful for a country like Switzerland to take their safety for granted in such a brazen manner. I am told our Sukhois consume $400,000 worth of fuel in a single day's training, which is why an SUMK2 flight simulator was commissioned yesterday, complete with the terrain of this region.
